Background: Melasma is a commonly acquired circumscribed hyperpigmentary disorder mainly involving sun-exposed areas, especially the face with a predilection for the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, nose, and chin manifests as symmetrical, hyperpigmented macules with irregular, serrated, geographic spreading borders
