Abstract

Background: The term "asymptomatic bacteriuria" (ASB) refers to persistent, aggressive bacterial growth in asymptomatic females' urinary tracts. The quantitative diagnosis is a clear catch mid urine sample with more than 100,000 organisms/ml.1 The incidence is often population-dependent geographical variance, ranging from 2 to 7%.
